Tulio Covre was a sergeant pilot in Villafranca. A Boscomantico becomes instructor of the flying club, was also specializes in aviation aerobatics and was the creator of the first civilian aerobatic team. And 'falling dead in front of the beach of Messina during the "tour of Sicily by plane." He could make an emergency landing on the beach but decided not to invest in people falling into the water.
Thanks to the intervention of the local Club Frecce Tricolori of Verona, the plate was recovered from the place where it had been placed and positioned at the entrance Aeroclub.

Sorry for my terrible English, if you pass in Boscomantico ask for Davide Olivati. If I am in aeroclub are happy to know you.

Ciao.

Dear Hendrik,

Covre was my Great-Uncle. I wrote the german version of his wikipedia article (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tullio_Covre). His daughter wrote the italian and english version.
Tullio Covre needed to make an emergency landing during the "Tour of Sicily" in July 1961 due to propeller problems on his Sequoia Falco (lost one propeller blade). Instead of endangering the people on the beach he decided to ditch in the sea - because of the impact he hit his head on the radio and got unconcious, and unfortunately drowned. You can read more in his wikipedia article.

Kind regards, Carlos

Carlos thank you.
Your great uncle was flying an Aeromere F.8L Falco !
Was he the owner of the Falco or was it an Aero Club aircraft ?

Sequoia made homebuilt kits and drawings of the F.8L Falco.

The following italian factories built the F.8L Falco in sucsession: Aviamilano, Aeromere and Laverda.

ciao,
Hendrik
